Say what you will about the new ‘Ghostbusters‘ movie (opinions are definitely divided at this point, based solely on the trailers), but one thing that has stood out for me is the idea of more than just the proton pack being used to fight ghosts. From the first trailer they displayed new weapons at their disposal to help in the fight against the supernatural, though I am pretty sure when it comes down to it, those protons packs are still gonna be their primary means of offense (as long as they do not cross the streams).

Below is a new clip that comes to us courtesy of the official ‘Ghostbusters’ Twitter account, which is the first full clip we have seen from the film. In the clip, the team is testing out some of Holtzmann’s (McKinnon’s character) new ghost-busting gadgets, which, since this is a comedy, does not go as smooth as the ladies intend. First up we see a toy which they called the chipper, which is essentially a wood-chipper that they plan to use on ghosts. Next they have a motion activated hand cannon type thing, that shoots an energy ball when the wearer throws a punch.

Check out the clip for yourself below, and then let us know your thoughts down in the comments section below!

Erin Gilbert (Wiig) and Abby Yates (McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
