I’ve got great news for ‘American Horror Story‘ fans as we’ve just learned that Leslie Jordan (‘The Help’,’Jason Goes to Hell’) who was last seen on ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ will be returning for the next season of Ryan Murphy’s ongoing horror anthology series!
We still aren’t quite sure what the upcoming season will be about though many rumors have pointed to an adaptation of The Slender Man to the small screen or even that there will be two major ongoing stories happening throughout it. Sadly, it won’t involve the return of Jessica Lange. This casting is great news as when Jordan was playing Quentin Fleming as part of the Council of Witchcraft he really seemed to be embodying the character and I can’t wait to see what Murphy uses him for next!
What is interesting is that we almost saw a return of Jordan in ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ as well if financial responsibility hadn’t kicked in. It wasn’t Murphy or FX that revealed his involvement but Jordan himself which is usually a bit of a no-no in Hollywood these days but clearly that isn’t something that concerns this character actor. According to Jordan:
“I’m booked all summer, then on July 7, I go back to American Horror Story with Lady Gaga, isn’t that fun? I did one season on Coven. They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. Let me tell you, those reality shows pay a lot of money. So I turned down Freak Show, biggest mistake of my life. I didn’t think Mr. (Ryan) Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did.”
I think that fans of ‘American Horror Story’ and Leslie Jordan can all be happy about this piece of casting news.
