preacher

If you haven’t been able to get enough of the first episode of ‘Preacher‘ then you’ll be happy to know that a new version of the pilot has been put online with directors’ commentary included! This is probably something we’ll be seeing more of when the eventual Blu-Ray edition is released so think of it as a great taste of things to come. I’m very curious as to if they’ll be doing this on every episode or just the introduction.

Early reviews from the pilot’s pre-premiere release have been mostly positive across the board. While there were some pretty big changes to what we’ve seen in, they seem to fit perfectly for what can be shown on television and as a lead-in for the series.

What AMC is giving us is the pilot episode with commentary by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg who have spent years bringing this from development to pre-production to the small screen. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if the two who are more known for comedy than a darker show would be the right pick but I’m happy to say that they’ve clearly proven me wrong.

Sadly, AMC isn’t allowing anyone to embed the episode but you can watch it directly on AMC’s site right here as long as your cable provider has AMC in your package.

Did you enjoy the first episode of ‘Preacher’? Do you think Rogen and Goldberg will be giving us a great televised version of this iconic series? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

Preacher is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper, Agent Carter), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun, This Is England) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.
