Transformers: The Last Knigiht

With Paramount Pictures making waves on expanding their Transformers Cinematic Universe they’ve just graced us with the title of the fifth installment and it will be called ‘Transformers: The Last Knight‘! That being said, they really don’t give us much to go on in the teaser. With the film due in just over a year we still have plenty of time for the marketing team to flood us with trailers and stills from Michael Bay’s next explosive Transformers movie. One thing the teaser seems to promise though is that it is set to revolve around Optimus Prime. When we last checked in on Prime, he was heading into outer space to find their creators.

You can check out the teaser below though I do have to again warn you to not expect much at all. This is another teaser in all sense of the word:

Calling all #Autobots: Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you? #transformers

See, we really aren’t given a whole lot to go on yet. A shot of Prime, the title, and the details that production begins next month. The interesting thing to note about Prime is his eyes have gone from blue to purple. As purple generally tends to be the color that Decepticons have rocked in the past, there are plenty of ways they could run with this to give us an evil version of the character, even if only temporarily.

While the film will partially take place with Prime in space we know that at least a portion will be on Earth as there are plenty of humans cast as well. I’m wondering if there could be a time jump and we start up with Prime returning or if there be two plots with Prime in space and the Autobots on Earth which intertwine when Prime returns.

There is also no word as to how the solo adventures of ‘Bumblebee‘ could factor into the film when it is released in 2018.

Are you excited to check out ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’? Do you think the purple at the end hints at Decepticons or a new enemy? Share your thoughts below!
