spider-man civil war

It’s the clash of the superhero titans! While DC may be headlining this month with their fight between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel, no one can doubt that the main event will be in Marvel’s ring between Captain America and Iron Man. To prove their point, Marvel has released this new trailer for ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ Better yet, they included their knockout move of introducing their new Spider-man Tom Holland!

The appearance of Spider-Man has been teased ever since it was announced that Sony agreed to allow Marvel to use the character and co-produce a new Spider-Man film. Once that occurred, Marvel has been coy about what the web-slinger would be doing or even look like once they took over and gave Holland the role. Now we get our first really good look at the superhero and who he may be teaming with – albeit rather briefly.

Check out the latest trailer below:

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

The promotional team for the film has been working hard reminding movie goers that this is the showdown to see. Even the stars of the film have been encouraging fans to choose a side. Do you side with Team Iron Man (which includes Vision, Black Widow, Black Panther and War Machine, and now Spider-Man) who stands behind the Sokovia Accords and believes superheroes should be under the jurisdiction of the government or Team Cap (which includes the Falcon, the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch) who opposes this action? While it may seem from the line-up that the film may look like an ‘Avengers’ film, the Russo brothers have assured fans that this is most definitely a Captain America movie. After all, it is the last film of the ‘Captain America’ trilogy and the ending has been teased to be quite the heartbreaking game changer for Team Avengers.

So what do you think? Let us know whose side you’re on and your thoughts about the new trailer below. And return back here as we’ll be giving our analysis about the trailer soon!
