RUMOR ALERT: The topics discussed in this article are based on RUMORS so take everything with a grain of salt!

2016’s ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ really kicks things into high gear for the DC Cinematic Universe.  Even though 2013’s ‘Man of Steel’ remains in continuity, this next film is really the beginning of the franchise, which not only introduces Ben Affleck’s Batman, but Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. And as has been rumored for months now, expect to see at least brief cameos by the rest of the Justice League.  But one such appearance may be cut short.

The first cameo announced was Cyborg/Victor Stone, played by Ray Fisher.  It’s unknown how large a role he has, but in the modern comics, Victor’s transformation from all human to cyborg played a role in the formation of the Justice League, so that may factor in here as well.

It was previously stated that Aquaman (played by Jason Momoa) would pop up in a containment unit of some sort.  This may still be the case, but the latest word is that Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) plays some role in the Sea King’s introduction.  The containment unit idea could still prove true, but it’s possible that the film may give him a little beefier a role to set him up for his upcoming solo movie.

As for The Flash (Ezra Miller, left), it was stated that he would not appear in costume.  The earlier rumor was that he would appear only as a blur on a security video monitor.  That may still be the case, as it’s now believed that a cameo shot by Miller out of costume is likely to get cut from the final film.

Not surprisingly, there is no mention of ‘Green Lantern’, but ‘Green Lantern Corps’ isn’t due until 2020.  And since there will be at least two GLs in that movie, it’s unclear which one will join the Justice League… if either does.

There’s a lot riding on ‘Batman V Superman’, but is this too much to cram into one film?  Sure, Warner Brothers is eager to jump on the shared universe bandwagon that has worked so well for Marvel, but sometimes it’s best to let things simmer a bit, rather than plowing ahead at super speed.

Are you excited to see Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash in ‘Batman V Superman’?  Will you be terribly let down if they don’t pop up in some capacity?
