Warner Brothers has been throwing fans with a loop with Ben Affleck cast as Batman and Jared Leto as his arch enemy but Leto is telling us not to worry. Taking to Instagram, Leto has shared a picture to try and reassure fans of how we’ll feel about his role as The Joker in David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad‘. After both Heath Ledger, Mark Hamill, and Jack Nicholson have all portrayed the Clown Prince of Crime in such iconic roles he has some big shoes to fill. While the on screen ones have all been great I really think that Hamill’s voice work on the animated series is The Joker for this one to beat as I feel it is the only one that it could be similar to performance wise.
So how is he feeling about it?
What do you think of the photo that Leto shared on his upcoming role in ‘Suicide Squad’? Do you think he’ll be able to bring the same kind of iconic insanity that our past Jokers have delivered on or will this be the first major joke to fall flat? Share your thoughts below!
‘Suicide Squad’ will be released on August 5th, 2016 and stars: Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Jay Hernandez, and Karen Fukahara.
