We’re roughly three months away from the release of ‘Deadpool‘ and have just gotten a slew of new images and details about the movie to share with you. Fans of the character have been thrilled that the film is getting an R rating and the first trailer seems to show that they are delivering what we want. Including, Deadpool breaking the fourth wall! One of the more fun aspects of Wade Wilson is that he talks to the readers of his comic and it sounds like he’ll be talking to the viewers of his film as well. Better yet, having Deadpoolhat do this lets us know that ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ is to be completely ignored.

Thank you!

Speaking of the R rating above? It looks like they’ll be taking full advantage of it in the action sequences. Reynolds adds that there are some “pretty racy, pretty hyper-violent things that happen in this movie and it’s been a lot of fun to shoot.” Not that we’ll be seeing blood sitting on screen at all times as “Deadpool does some really graphic stuff to people but it’s all quick and it doesn’t linger on them either, it’s much more about how he does things and how he’s dealing away and flipping on them.”

It wasn’t all about the violence though as Deadpool is known for having a good time, including how expressive he is for wearing a mask most of the time. In fact they did the full filming with Ryan not having a mask on and added it in as CGI in post to allow the mask to move and show the expressions he would have had in each scene. “You can’t promise Deadpool fans in the audience the authentic Deadpool and then give him a pair of pretty blue eyes.”

Fun though is also having a ton of pop culture references, Easter Eggs, and a great soundtrack. In fact, they were a little worried about the soundtrack because after ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was released Reynolds said that he “did have a bit of a panic attack” as he was stressing that they had the idea for the script to have music cues for years.

We also have a couple images to share with you today!

In the first image we have Gina Carano (‘Haywire’,’Fast & Furious 6′) as Angel Dust and Ed Skrein (‘Game of Thrones’,’The Transporter Refueled’) as Ajax standing over Ryan Reynolds before he goes into surgery. My guess is it will be the procedure that fully turns him into the Merc with the Mouth that we all know and… love?

Here we’ve got a shot of director Tim Miller and Reynolds in his Deadpool costume talking about a junkyard scene that is clearly about to be filmed. I can’t help but think that Miller is somehow trying to tell Reynolds to not get too in character and screw up the shot as I have a feeling must have happened a few times.

Even though I’d love to see the mutants return to Marvel I can’t imagine that this movie would have been able to be made how it is at the studio. I’m looking forward to seeing what Reynolds has been able to do here as each new detail has had me even more excited for the film
