In a wild new video to promote their new 360 degree videos in the newsfeed, Facebook and Lucasfilm have released an amazing interactive video for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ that any fan will love and rewatch numerous times. The video seems basic enough, as you are driving around Jakku and the downed Imperial Star Destroyer seen in ‘The Force Awakens’ trailer, all from the point of view of Rey. The fun starts when you grab the video with your pointer and look around, as the video allows you look 360 degrees around the speeder Rey is currently driving, meaning you can take in all the sites and sounds of Jakku as she continues to drive. Aside from getting more looks at the crashed Imperial Star Destroyer, you also get closer looks at some of the denizens of Jakku who race angrily by, and if you stay till the end you can hear BB-8’s chirping from somewhere nearby. It is an incredible experience, and more or less spoiler free for any ‘Star Wars’ fan who still wants to go into the new movie fresh. For those who want to see even more of Jakku, just wait till ‘Star Wars: Battlefronts’ is released, as there will be a playable version of the Battle of Jakku, in which you can explore the environment while caught in the epic battle.

The whole thing is part of Facebook’s campaign to promote their new 360 degree videos, and partnering up with Lucasfilm for one of their launch videos was a smart move. Check out the full text on the video and the 350 videos below:
