More ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ promotion material has been released! This time the hype continues with a series of promotional images of various new characters in the saga, with the only original trilogy characters being R2D2 and C-3PO (featured with his red arm in all its glory) who are shown alongside their new droid friend BB-8, as well as an image of Chewbacca alongside the other heroes. The good news of course is all the new imagery showing Kylo Ren, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Captain Phasma in various poses and iconic imagery, the downside being that the new promo art does not give away any new information we did not already know, keeping Poe in his X-Wing pilot garb, Kylo Ren still with his mask on, Captain Phasma still with her mask on, and Rey just riding around Jakku on her speeder. Clearly JJ Abrams and Disney are still doing their best to keep details of ‘The Force Awakens’ a secret, despite set-backs from other merchandise coming out and giving out potential spoilers (such as certain Halloween costumes that came out earlier this week).

Also of note is the news that certain countries will have earlier premiere dates for the film, with the UK learning through a Facebook post that their premiere date will be December 17, with France having a premiere date of December 16th. For anyone wary of spoilers, I would suggest avoiding TV and the internet between December 16 and the day you finally see the movie.

Check out the new promo art below and then let us know your thoughts of the imagery for the movie! Does the lack of original characters foreshadow some deaths in the films? Will the original 3 (Luke, Han and Leia) merely be cameos in this film, with no parts in future movies? Share your opinions in the comments below!
