The latest behind the scenes photo from ‘The X-Files‘ puts Scully, Mulder, and Skinner back together once again! In a tweet shared by Gillian Anderson we see that the three are in what looks to be a government building as they stand in front of a portrait featuring President Barack Obama. I’m wondering if this is the same building that they’ll run into Agent Reyes at when she appears in the series.

We’ve known for some time that Mitch Pileggi would be returning as Agent Skinner though we’ve had no idea in what form his return would take. At the very least this picture seems to hint that he’ll still be working with the agency and that if Mulder and Scully aren’t back with the F.B.I. officially that they’ll at least be cleaned up and visiting the offices of their old friend and (ex-?)boss.

I do say cleaned up because of how Mulder was looking in the first promotional shot that you can see below:

Yes, not well kept there at all. However, at some point he does shave and put his classic suit and tie back on as you can see in the following tweet!

The band is back together ladies and gentlemen! I hope this is in an official capacity as the thought of Mulder trying to do things on his own just seems a bit much. Especially as they need to address why the alien invasion never occurred. At least we know from the “photobomb” that they are still keeping the events set in roughly the same time frame as when the episodes are being released.

Are you looking forward to the return of ‘The X-Files’? Are you happy to see that Mulder will be getting clean cut once again? Share your thoughts below!
