SPOILERS AHEAD

So let me start by warning about spoilers ahead, as in if you do not want to know which Avenger will be appearing alongside Paul Rudd in ‘Ant-Man’ do not look ahead, as even the still image on the video below clearly gives away the secret.

If you are still reading this, then know I am also going to spoil it in this paragraph, starting by just saying it: The Falcon is in ‘Ant-Man,’ though I’m struggling to figure out what exactly he is doing there. I know as far as Avengers are concerned, he probably one of the easier ones to use, as he is just well-known enough by fans (having now appeared in 2 Marvel movies) to be recognized, but since he is not one of the founding MCU Avengers (Iron-Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawk-Eye) and does not have his own solo movies, it is probably cheaper to insert him into other movies than the others. And in a way, I guess it makes sense for someone from the Avengers to make contact with Ant-Man, as they need to tie the character into the team fairly quickly, both to appease fans who know Ant-Man is a founding Avenger in the comics, and to set up his connections with the team during ‘Captain America: Civil War.‘ Plus earlier trailers did reveal dialogue where Scott Lang says they should call the Avengers, so I’m thinking Falcon’s appearance might be toward or even at the end of the movie, as a kind of joke call-back to the line about calling the Avengers, and as a set-up/tie-in for the next Marvel film coming down the shoot.

Either way, I’m always excited to see more hero crossover in the MCU, and since Falcon is one of my favorites of the second-tier Avengers, I think he will be a welcome addition to the film. What are your thoughts on the Falcon appearance? Let us know in the comments below!
