The main cast for the ‘Harry Potter’ spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ is rounding out quite nicely. After announcing Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander early last month, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘Inherent Vice’ star Katherine Waterston joined the cast shortly after as Tina, one of two American sisters that Newt meets on his travels through 1920s New York City that is rumored to be Newt’s future wife Porpentina. Now as production draws closer and closer, we know who will play the other sister.

According to Entertainment Weekly, singer/songwriter A Fine Frenzy AKA Alison Sudol will play Queenie in the upcoming David Yates film that marks author J.K. Rowling’s screenwriting debut. ‘Fantastic Beasts’ will be the Sudol’s theatrical debut, however, in the past year she has been making waves with her roles in the award-winning Amazon Studios series ‘Transparent’ starring Jeffrey Tambor and ‘Dig’ on the USA Network alongside ‘Harry Potter’ star Jason Isaacs.

Previously, actresses such as Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston, and Elizabeth Debicki were rumored to be up for the part of Queenie. Then, Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Fanning, Lili Simmons, and Alison Sudol were supposedly in line for Tina. It’s interesting to note that Waterston and Sudol were in the running for the parts originally, but they ended up getting the roles the other one auditioned for. Either that’s a strange coincidence or the filmmakers just found that they were better fits for the parts that they didn’t originally test for. There’s also the possibility that those reports mixed up who was trying out for what, but I guess it doesn’t really matter.
