Check out the latest clip released by Marvel for the upcoming release of ‘Ant-Man!’ In the clip, we see Michael Douglas’s Hank Pym beginning to explain to Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) how the suit works, pointing out the symbiotic relationship between the man and the suit, and the speeds at which Lang should be able to shrink or grow while wearing the suit. Pym is joined by his daughter Hope Van Dyne, who does not seem to share Pym’s opinion that Lang will be able to master the suit anytime soon. We then seen Scott attempt to run down a hallway and jump through a keyhole, emerging out the other side at full size, which he fails miserably at and which Hope is quick to point out to her father.
It is a fun clip as it shows off the mentor relationship Douglas’s character will have to Scott Lang, displays some of the humorous tone of the film, and sets up the animosity between Hope and Scott, which we all know will inevitably lead to some kind of relationship between the two (though it is still unclear whether it will blossom into a full-blown love interest relationship during this film.) Hope’s knowledge of the suit and how it works does lend some credence to her having experience with a similar suit (which I know myself and a lot of other fans are hoping means she might have a Wasp suit of her own), and eventually will get to suit up in the MCU, thus allowing the MCU Avengers to welcome two of the founding comic-book members onto the team in the near future.
Until then, check out the clip below, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
