Marvel’s next hit film introduces us to the future Avenger ‘Ant-Man‘ and the latest batch of images are now online and introduce us to a new character! That’s right we’re not only getting a slew of new shots of Ant-Man himself but our first look at David Dastmalchian (‘The Dark Knight’,’Animals’) as Kurt! We don’t really know anything about Kurt quite yet but this first shot of him seems to hint that he’ll be a good guy sitting around casually with a smile on his face. My bet is that he is either friends with or working with Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang and not against him. Of course, it really is hard to say that for sure from the promo shot below.

Loving the shot of Ant-Man coming out of the ground! It’ll be interesting to see how they have Ant-Man fit in with the Avengers later as they didn’t include him in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ as the creator of Ultron as they did in the comics. Still, Scott Lang’s version of the character can be an interesting role to have included even though the best take on him in the comics has been the most recent solo run prior to ‘Secret Wars’. He isn’t usually a great team player and when he is the best writing has had him as more of a comedic take which is the direction that they seem to going with in the film.
