The countdown to the opening ‘Jurassic World’ is continuing and today we have a clip and TV spot highlighting the most monstrous of all dinosaurs, the Indominus Rex.

It’s been known for a while now that the Indominus Rex would be the featured big bad dino of the film, and we’ve even had a glimpse of it in previous trailers and clips. Now, however, a TV spot has emerged showing the birth of this genetically modified hybrid which sets the tone of how truly dangerous and fearsome this beast is.

While the past released footage for ‘Jurassic World’ does show a lot action and the terror of having a hungry dinosaur after you, the commercial below drives it home in a creepier, horror filled way. The slow hatching of the Indominus Rex interspersed with snippets already seen from the trailers drives the message home with a somewhat ‘Alien’ type of vibe attached to it.

Take a look:

Also released is this clip which is an expansion of what we’ve already seen from the trailers. Here, Jurassic World owner Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan) is conversing with scientist Clarie Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) as he cautiously gloats over the new “addition” to their park attraction. While the Indominus Rex stays behind the foliage the entire time, the fact that Masani is amazed, intimidated and sees dollar signs with this new creation is a good foreshadowing of what’s to come.
