The pilot episode of ‘Waywar Pines‘ titled “When Paradise Is Home” has officially been released online and you can watch it below! The new series on Fox by M. Night Shyamalan is officially premiering on Thursday May 14th at 9/8C but the studio clearly wanted to allow us all in on a sneak peak and get us interested in the series. Honestly, with Shyamalan’s track record that isn’t too surprising as a few good early reviews could go over big on attracting more viewers.

The show’s description gives it a very ‘Twin Peaks’ kind of feel with the overall plot having us follow Matt Dillion as a Secret Service agent who is trying to track down a couple of missing agents in Wayward Pines, ID. Things get a little strange quickly and the previews looked good but much of Shyamalan’s recent work started that way before going downhill when the eventual twist was revealed.

Here’s hoping we won’t have a bad twist that kills this series off because it really does look good.

You can check out the pilot episode of ‘Wayward Pines’ right here thanks to Hulu! If you would rather check it out on your TV it is also available on Fox’s On Demand through most major US based television carriers, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, PlayStation Store, Xbox Video, and VUDU.

They really are covering all of their basis with this one.

“Imagine the perfect American town… beautiful homes, manicured lawns, children playing safely in the streets. Now imagine never being able to leave. You have no communication with the outside world. You think you’re going insane. You must be in Wayward Pines. Secret Service Agent ETHAN BURKE (Academy Award nominee Matt Dillon, “Crash,” “City of Ghosts”) drives to the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, ID, searching for two missing federal agents. One of the best Secret Service agents in the Seattle office, he’s the man who knew missing agent KATE HEWSON (Carla Gugino, “Watchmen,” “Entourage”) better than anyone. They were more than partners; their relationship nearly destroyed Ethan’s marriage.

Everything changes when a truck slams into his car…and he wakes up in the Wayward Pines Hospital, with the intense and unpredictable NURSE PAM (Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Melissa Leo, “The Fighter,” “Treme”) at his bedside. It soon appears that Pam is more interested in harming than healing. She and Ethan grow into deadly rivals, and her role in the town proves much deeper than anyone realizes.”
