For those of you curious as to checking out more of the look of ‘Terminator: Genisys‘ which is dropping in a few months there are some new images out! The first of a the next ‘Terminator’ trilogy has met with a lot of mixed responses so far. From the cast to the feel to early imagery looking wrong, there have been quite a few complaints. With many of us wanting a new fun take looking at the Connor family saving humanity from the Terminators, this might very well be our last hope for some salvation which the 2009 film just couldn’t deliver.

The latest issue of Empire Magazine showcases a great look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke in character on the cover as well as a few stills from the upcoming film. I do have to warn you though, there could be some potential spoilers below.

First up is the cover which I had just mentioned above:

Next up is a promotional shot of Schwarzenegger reprising his role, just not as battle damaged as the first shot of him from the film.

Of course what is a promotional shot without one of the actual T-800s without any flesh hiding what they truly are? Wait, is it driving a truck? This truly is the rise of the machines if they’re automating truck driving jobs like Google wants to do with cars. I mean if it wasn’t done enough in films even noted scientist Stephen Hawking has warned us against AI already!

In what is clearly a change of direction in the series we have a Terminator who is carrying a young Sarah Connor to what we could only imagine is safety.

A great shot of Emilia Clarke as a quite aggressive Sarah Connor. Probably about the time frame when she would normally only be finding out about the Terminators in the first place but here we already see her trained and ready for battle.

J.K. Simmons has always been one of my favorite underused actors so I’m eager to see what he does as Detective O’Brien in the film.

So the shots look good though some of the earlier visuals have been hit or miss. I really want this movie to be good but I’m sure most of you can understand why I am worried on what we’ll actually be seeing on the big screen.

Are you looking forward to ‘Terminator: Genisys’? Do you think they might be onto a good idea for their continuation route that also reboots the series in what sounds like the same way Abrams’ first ‘Star Trek’ film did? Share your thoughts below!
