DC Collectibles Icons Sure Are Flexible!
You asked, and DC Collectibles has answered! After all of their big product reveals at Toy Fair 2015, DC Collectibles opened themselves up to the public to field questions from the fans! It seems that by and far the biggest question on everyone’s minds was about the level of articulation in the new ‘DC Icons’ 6” scale figure line! DC has released a full statement regarding the matter on their official blog, which includes a lovely chart that showcases just how much effort has been put into getting these figures as articulated as possible! Check out the full release from DC Collectibles below:
Last week, we asked for your questions about the new DC Collectibles that were unveiled at Toy Fair, and ever since then, the queries have been rolling in. We thought we’d start with one of the most frequently asked: How many points of articulation will be included in the new DC Comics Icons Action Figure line?
Well, to give you a good answer to that one, we need to backtrack a bit. In May of 2014 during our 100,000 Facebook Likes celebration, we asked you, the fans, how much articulation you preferred in your DC Collectibles action figures. The overwhelming vote was for as much articulation as possible. With that sort of response, we couldn’t help but hear you loud and clear, so during the development of the new Icons line, we aimed to develop a universal model that would load up our figures with articulation points.
Below is the complete anatomy articulation breakdown for our new DC Comics Icons Action Figures. Pretty cool, eh?
Be sure to keep an eye on DCComics.com as well as the DC Collectibles Facebook page for more answers to your questions. And look for the first wave of DC Comics Icons Action Figures in stores in November, 2015!

Break Bad and Wax On!
While they premiered back at Toy Fair a few weeks ago, Funko has recently released some new glamor shots of a few new waves of their ReAction line! First up we’ve got the first wave of figures based on the AMC fan favorite drama ‘Breaking Bad’! This series includes a few versions of the series lead Walter White, a few versions of his streetwise sidekick Jesse Pinkman, and the villainous Gus Fring!
We’ve also got a closer look at the upcoming wave of ReAction figures based on the 80’s classic ‘The Karate Kid’! This series is comprised of two versions of Daniel, and one each of Mr. Miyagi, Ali Mills, John Kreese, and Johnny Lawrence! These figures are all expected to hit stores this spring!
Series 2 Is Coming…
Funko has also released new images of the upcoming new wave of ‘Game of Thrones’ Mystery Minis! These highly sought after Blind Boxed vinyl figures are set to release in just a few weeks, with the new wave containing plenty of fan favorite characters like Jon Snow, Hodor, Jaime Lannister, The Hound, The Mountain, Prince Oberon, and more!
Black Widow Set To Strike!
And finally, in a surprise announcement this week, Funko has answered the call sent out by the fans in the collectors community by announcing an all new Black Widow POP! Vinyl figure for their recently released ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ line of POP!s. Many fans cried foul when the series of POP! Vinyls was announced that Black Widow (as the only full time female member of the team) had seemingly been omitted completely! While many are speculating that her reveal was held back in order to hide her new costume before it premiered in the latest trailer (which released last week!), many more are speculating that this figure is just the first of many in a new secondary wave of ‘Age of Ultron’ POP! Vinyl figures that have yet to be announced. Only time will truly tell if we’re getting a second wave of ‘Age of Ultron’ POP!s, but it wouldn’t be too surprising since several main characters are still without figures. Funko did something similar with another Marvel summer blockbuster last year, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, which has a secnd wave of POP! Vinyl figures hitting the market now!
And with that, we bring this week’s Toy News Tuesday to a close! What do you think about the new items announced this week? Do you plan on picking up anything we mentioned in this week’s column? Are there any lines or brands you’d like to see more coverage of? Let us know in the comments section below! Until next week, happy toy hunting!
