David Jaffe, creator of the ‘God of War’ series, has officially announced his next project, entitled ‘Drawn to Death’.

‘Drawn to Death’ title is a fast-paced and tactical multiplayer third person shooter for the PS4 that takes place inside a student’s spiral notebook. If you are wondering what exactly that means, then definitely take a look at the trailer below to get a little bit of what we mean by that. It’s just about as crazy as it sounds.

Drawn To Death will be an arena shooter like you’ve never played before,” said Jaffe in a Sony Blog post. ” Part of the reason for this is our unique gameplay. And part of the reason is that the game takes place inside the notebook of a very creative teenage kid; it’s a violent and bizarre landscape filled with all of the weird, amazing, passionate, and exciting fantasies that are swimming around in the head of our teenage artist.

The main goal of the title combine the sensibilities of an old-school arena shooter and a hardcore fighting game, with its major focus going into its four-player Free For All Deathmatch mode. According to the Jaffe, the game will give players the “need and ability to master advanced environment movement, learn and exploit enemy tells, and form clever strategies that pay off in big victories.”

The title is being developed in collaboration with Jaffe’s new studio, The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, and Sony San Diego.

Jaffe is primarily known for his recent work as the creator of the ‘God of War’ series. However, his work with Sony stretches further back on the ‘Twisted Metal’ series, another classic Sony franchise that began back in 1995.

‘Drawn to Death’ does not have a planned release date just yet, as it is still in its early stages of development. It is set to release exclusively on the PS4.
