Rockstar Games has announced some of the extra content that will be available for the upcoming enhanced versions of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Additional content includes new events, side-missions and weapons.

One of the key features of the original release of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ was its random events and challenges that could be found all around its giant open-world map. For the enhanced version of the game, there will be new events and challenges which will yield unlockable exclusive vehicles like the Imponte Duke of Death and the legendary franchise seaplane, the Dodo. For example, players can compete in Stock Car Races to earn unique custom Muscle Cars.

As far as new missions and objectives go, there will be an exclusive side-mission set for protagonist Michael as well, which has him following the trail of cryptic clues in order to unravel the truth behind a grisly murder. Beating these will unlock two Noir style filters to put over the game. Players will also be able to play as Franklin to participate in a Willdlife Photography Challenge where they must take pictures and catalog the unique animal species scattered across the game world. Successfully accomplishing this will unlock the Kraken Sub, a submarine that players can freely use to explore the game’s underwater areas.

New weapons such as high-powered rail gun and a hatchet are also to be added on top of the original release’s existing arsenal. The former is set to have its own unique set of Shooting Range Challenges at the game’s Ammu-Nation shooting range.

‘Grand Theft Auto V’ is the latest entry of the famous ‘Grand Theft Auto’ franchise. The game was originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013. However, Rockstar had announced during E3 2014 that the game would get a re-release on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC, which would feature enhanced graphics and exclusive extra content. Rockstar has reassured that all ‘GTA Online’ progress will carry over to the new versions of the game via save transfer. Jobs gained will also be retained. Lastly, unlocked platform-exclusive content from previous generation versions will transfer as well.

The enhanced re-release of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ will release on PS4 and Xbox One November 18. The Windows PC version will launch next year on January 27.
