Obviously if we’re going to talk about the return of a character in ‘Game of Thrones,’ it’s going to be a shock and it’s going to be big. So, this is clearly going to be reaching spoiler territory, but if you are as impatient as I am about returning to the lands of Westeros, you are going to want to continue on. If not, you are going to want to head back to the main page now.

No, we’re not talking about the Lady Stoneheart sequence that never made it into last season either. Of course, that could always be due soon as well.

Okay, still with me? Well from a recent interview with Charles Dance (‘Alien 3’, ‘Last Action Hero’) who plays Tywin Lannister, it sounds like he might be coming back this next season.

His exact words on the matter were “Well, I’m not completely missing from the next series. More on that, I’m not going to say. You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister is all I’ll say.”

Tease!

“How is that possible?” you might be asking. If you are caught up, you know that he was shot dead at the hands of his son Tyrion. Well, with the show’s strict no flashback policy (which doesn’t seem to have been rescinded), there are a few outcomes that come to mind.

The first of which is that someone sees him in a dream or a hallucination. Seems stable enough of an idea. However, another almost guaranteed reason would be that he is showing up at either being found dead and followed up with having him in a casket at his funeral.

However, if it was the second option, that seems far too little with his response. Especially with the way he said it. You can watch for yourself below.

Are you looking forward to the next season? How do you think that Tyrian will return?
