For those who have been waiting on more details for this October’s release of ‘Dracula Untold‘ the first official clip from the film is here! In it we see Luke Evans (‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug‘,’Immortals’) is being made a promise to be taught by Charles Dance’s character that clearly isn’t going to be good for humanity.
Now, I was really down on ‘Dracula Untold; when I first heard about it being a “family fantasy film,” and rightfully so! That isn’t what Dracula should be about in the slightest. However, each piece of behind the scenes video and trailer that has been released has really been catching my interest on what could potentially be a well told story. Obviously, only time will tell. The film has the production levels and actors to make it a quality film but these changes of how Vlad becomes such a bloodthirsty creature of the night may or may not benefit the film.
Let’s take a look at that first clip below followed by the film’s synopsis:
‘Dracula Untold’ follows a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.
This is still showing us that Vlad isn’t that bad of a guy and even when doing the wrong things, he is doing them for the right reasons. Well, apparently he doesn’t know what being a monster actually is but as we can see Dance’s character is soon going to show him.
