While early word for ‘Dracula Untold‘ had me worried with it being called a family fantasy film, each piece of media from the film has promised that we’ll be seeing something new and exciting. This latest behind-the-scenes featurette gives us both new footage and more of an idea of the actual feel for the film.

I don’t think the fact that it is being marketed as a family film needs to worry anyone as this movie looks like it could be pretty good! With what has been released, it really feels like a take on his origin could resonate with audiences. I’m just thinking it may fall flat with the more hardcore Dracula fans.

ET Canada was invited on set during filming for the movie and were able to share the following details with all of us to get a better idea of what will be shown on the big screen this October. Here’s some behind the seen footage from ‘Dracula Untold’:

As a new origin story for Dracula, this could be a well put together film. Not only that, but if done right they could easily spin this into a trilogy with Dracula’s rise into his vampiric powers and his later travels to England. With all of the mythos surrounding Dracula over the years, they could even extend it past that though I’m not sure if they’d be wanting to push too far without being able to secure an R rating as he becomes a little more cold towards humanity.
