There are a number of things that are constant in a Kevin Smith film. For instance, there are always a ton of pop culture references scattered throughout the dialogue. The filmmaker also features recurring characters and settings throughout a number of his movies. He would even sometimes have the same actor play multiple parts in the same film universe. We saw this when Jason Lee played both Banky Edwards and Brodie Bruce in Smith’s New Jersey Trilogy, but it looks like he’s at it again with his upcoming True North Trilogy.

Last month, Smith began production on ‘Yoga Hosers.’ the second chapter in the new film series that stars Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp as two teenage Canadian convenience store clerks that fight for their social lives against an ancient evil. But prior to being the leads in this movie, they appeared in ‘Tusk,’ which recently premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Previously, it was announced that their co-stars from that film would be joining them in the new movie, but it appears that they won’t all reprise their roles.

According to Coming Soon, Haley Joel Osment (who looks very different from his ‘Sixth Sense’ days) will appear as Adrien Arcand, “a real-life Canadian journalist who historically supported the Nazi party.” This differs from his role from ‘Tusk’ as Teddy Craft, Justin Long’s fellow podcaster, but it definitely sounds more interesting. The site also provides some photos of the former child star on set in Los Angeles, which you can check out in the gallery below followed by the film’s synopsis:

‘Hosers’, written by Smith, centers on 15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith), who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe (Johnny Depp) to fight for their lives with, according to the producers, “all seven Chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time.”
