When it comes to movie-making, sometimes the script needs some major revision before production can commence. Such is the case with J.J. Abrams’ top-secret projects. According to Deadline, Monica Breen and Alison Shapker have been hired by Paramount to rewrite this highly confidential script.
Nikki Finke of Deadline reported that “With a working title of ‘Zanbato,’ the script involves Japanese history and robotics: ‘swashbuckling robots with swords’ is how one insider describes it to me. The female writing team will continue to develop original material with J.J. and Bad Robot.”
Apparently this is all the information we’re going to find out about this movie for the time being. But seeing as though it’s one of J.J’s projects (who also produced ‘Lost’ and ‘Alias’ to name a couple) it does sound promising. We’ll share more information as it becomes available – stay tuned!
