Everyone has been waiting for more Thanos ever since the post credit scene at the end of ‘The Avengers‘ and now that we’ll be seeing him in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ you are probably curious as to where he’ll be going from here. Well we’ve got a few tidbits on the Mad Titan to share.

First up is a low-res picture of Josh Brolin as Thanos! Which if you’ve had a chance to see the movie already or will be seeing it on the big screen this weekend is just a drop in the bucket of what to expect.

Nice! But I’m sure like me you are a little more curious as to where we’ll be seeing Thanos next, am I right?

Well according to Kevin Feige, you won’t be seeing him at all in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’:

“He’s not a part of Avengers 2. I think Thanos does what he wants, and shows up where he wants to, and I’m not going to tell him otherwise. You don’t know exactly; smirking at the end of Avengers. By the way, we’re still making Avengers 2, so nothing’s definitive one way or the other, actually.”

So while he isn’t scheduled to be in the next film, Thanos does whatever he wants and he may just end up in the film after all. It’s too early to tell, but I wouldn’t put it past Marvel to stick that into one of the end credits scenes. I’m going on record now that my guess is that there will be two of them and Thanos will be in one.

So, when will we see Thanos pop up in an actual film again? Well right now as there isn’t even a set date for ‘The Avengers 3’  so it’s a little hard to say. However, according to Feige, we’ll probably see the third film in 2018:

“The last one was just a scheduling thing, there were other studios that were moving their chess pieces around on their boards, which is why that had been in the works — why that other 2018 date came up a few days after the initial release. We haven’t really talked about when we’ll see Avengers 3. I assume we’d like to stick to three years between Avengers movies like we did [between Avengers and Age of Ultron].”

Three years puts it at 2018 and currently Marvel has three unannounced release spots for the year!

As they will most likely want as many of the original Avengers as possible taking on the Mad Titan, I would suspect this is the point we would see it happening. I’m also predicting this is where we might get both the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ as well as possibly ‘The Defenders‘ getting thrown into the mix. I suppose we’ll see in four years if thats how it will all play out on the big screen!
