Can you believe the release date for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1‘ is this November and we’ve had almost no real advertisements for the film yet? While likely to rival summer blockbusters in sales, we haven’t had a hint of the advertising a big budget film like this would usually receive though these new Panem Propaganda trailers seem to be hitting the nail on the head, if you ask me.

In the second teaser for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1,’ we see Josh Hutcherson (‘The Hunger Games‘,’Epic’) as Peeta and Jena Malone (‘Sucker Punch‘,’Contact’) as Johanna Mason flanking Donald Sutherland’s (‘The Italian Job’, ‘Salem’s Lot’) President Snow to show support for both him and Panem. The visuals on this shot are perfect as it shows the type of style that is both flashy and oppressive that Panem is known for. In the video, Snow is delivering a very pro-Panem message here on Capitol TV which is stressing how unified the country is and how the Capitol and districts have to continue working together, that is until Jeffrey Wright (‘Casino Royale’, ‘Source Code’) as Beetee hacks the feed to delivery a very ominous message that “The Mockingjay Lives!” to those who are watching the broadcast.

You can check it out below!

Now that is how to throw on a showstopper performance! I imagine it would usually take a lot to silence Snow but completely hacking into his feed and kicking him off the air to replace his face and words with your own probably is one of the better ways to go about it. At the very least I’d hate to have been trying to do something like that while in the room with him.

Are you looking forward to seeing the rebellion kick off in full force in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’?

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ opens in U.S. theaters on November 21st, 2014, followed by Part 2 a year later on November 20th, 2015.
