One of the best parts of ‘The Avengers’ was Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal of the Hulk. Many have lauded the Jade Giant as a scene stealer in his most recent appearance on the big screen, especially when he came toe to toe with the puny god Loki, but Bruce Banner’s green alter ego certainly didn’t get as much time as the other members of the team. But all that is about to change in Joss Whedon’s upcoming sequel, ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Ruffalo says that there will be much more for his character to do the next time that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assemble. And by the sounds of things, it might be more than smashing:

“[My role’s] even bigger than last time, and it’s more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc.”

Additionally, he talks about the new technology utilized this time around to create the Hulk like the new developments in motion capture:

“I’m really tripping on the technology of this motion-capture stuff… now I just completely embrace it and see it as this other exciting place we can go as performers.”

Previously, we’ve heard that Hulk won’t be the only one receiving a beefed up role in the finale of Marvel Studios’ Phase Two. Besides new heroes like Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and the Vision being introduced, veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Hawkeye and Black Widow should be getting extended roles as well. But no matter who ends up getting the most screen time, there’s plenty to look forward to when the Avengers get back together again.
