While some would argue that ‘Rosemary’s Baby‘ is an iconic piece of horror that should never be remade, others would argue that the original was too dated for today’s audiences and needed a fresh coat of paint. NBC clearly supported the second option. With the second trailer not being enough to do the show justice, we now have 2 clips from the upcoming mini-series that stars Zoe Saldana in the central role of Rosemary. While she finds herself happily in love with her husband, things don’t go well for long when she finds herself pregnant.
This really is the perfect mini-series to air on Mother’s Day and with how much I love horror, I hope they do a good a job of it as the previews are hinting at. At least now we’ve got two clips showing off a bit of how the series will look.
First up, we have a clip of Rosemary exploring the catacombs that can be found beneath Paris.
Second, we also have another clip of Rosemary. In this one she is receiving some bad news.
While the trailers had already caught my interest (as well as Zoe Saldana doing horror), I think these clips might give a better idea of what we can expect from the production value for the show. There wasn’t much they had to do for sets compared to some of the period pieces of horror we’ve seen in shows such as ‘Penny Dreadful’, but they did seem to make everything look pretty good from what little we’ve been shown.
