Back in October when the first trailer for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ was released, we were greeted by the Sentiel of Liberty jumping out of a plane to avoid talking to Black Widow about dating coworkers on the weekends. Now, we have the first clip from the upcoming Phase Two Marvel movie from the Russo Brothers that shows us a little bit more of how that scene plays out.
With a little less than a month to go until the Star Spangled Avenger returns to your local cinema, Marvel and Disney have just turned their promotional campaign up to eleven by releasing a special four-minute preview featuring the very first clip from the film for us to enjoy. In this clip, we get a ton of great action from Cap and we get to see Georges St-Pierre being the maniacal villain Batroc the Leaper, who I imagine will serve a very similar function as Baron Von Strucker will in ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ by acting as the initial threat that launches our heroes into action. After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.
