With the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2‘ swinging into theaters on May 2nd, the images already have fans buzzed with excitement! Or at least Electro does riding on a wave of electricity.

The latest three international posters feature our favorite web head, portrayed by Andrew Garfield (‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘,’The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’) pitted against Jamie Foxx’s (‘Django Unchained’,’Jarhead’) Electro. With Times Square tending to be full of people and quite a bit of valuable advertising, you can just imagine how much J. Jonah Jameson is going to be ripping him a new one in The Daily Bugle! Hopefully that’ll just be on page though because after J.K. Simmons’s (‘Spider-Man’,’Oz’) performance of Jameson in the last series I can’t imagine them being able to find an actor who could top it!

I can’t help myself but be excited about the series. As much as I’m still not happy with the look of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, the first film was fun (aside from what The Lizard looked like) and the next one is setting up a Sinister Six kind of situation that feels partially in line with how The Ultimate Universe had things evolve. Will the second film deliver the entertainment of the first one? It’s only a matter of time until we know but I can’t wait to find out!

Do the latest posters have you pumped to see what looks to be an epic fight scene between Spider-Man and Electro? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ lands in theaters on May 2, 2014.
