With ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘ coming in about four months, we’re going to be seeing an increase in advertising for the film. Not only will we  be seeing new advertising but a new comic book as well to play off the exposure of The Winter Soldier. The five issue series will focus on his ‘lost years’ which will fit in quite well I’m sure with his role in the film.

Now, in the most recent issue of ‘Empire Magazine’, we have two covers that feature Chris Evans’s (‘The Avengers‘,’Snowpiercer‘) Captain America. One of the character alone and the other alongside Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Sebastian Stan’s The Winter Soldier on the other. Check them out below:

Nothing really new here, though it is one of the clearer shots of ‘The Winter Soldier’ to date. The more of these shots we see, the more people will figure out the twist of who The Winter Soldier actually is (that is, if they haven’t followed the comic or read the IDMB profile). I almost wish they had called it something else and not mentioned his name to begin with as the twist would have been epic, to say the least, though I am extremely looking forward to seeing this when it’s finally released!

Are these new shots pushing you into wanting to see ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ even more?

Synopsis:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.
