If you ask me, George R.R. Martin should be busy writing the final two novels in the ‘Game of Thrones’ series so that HBO can keep up with making a show based around his books. Instead he’s pandering to fans and sitting through a 90-minute interview on ‘In Conversation’ which is a special panel at the Sydney Opera House to talk about what he’s written. I guess more on screen time with this brilliant creator who loves to kill off the characters that we fall in love with is almost as good!

Not only is he talking about the novels, but joining him are two cast members from the show! Lena Headey (‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones‘, ‘Dredd‘) who plays Cersei Lannister and Michelle Fairley (‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’, ‘Suits’) who plays Catelyn Stark are at his side throughout the interview.

Fans of the series will laugh and will cry at everything you’ll be watching within! Honestly if the incest jokes are your thing as well as jokes about how large the universe is you’ll probably cry from laughter as they just keep coming!

Check out the full 90 minute interview below:

There are some interesting notes mentioned about ‘The Others’ which hint that they aren’t quite what they seem. There is also overall just a ton of insight into the world of Westros here and while I’d really love George to be using his free time to be writing, I do love to see how the minds of the creator’s of the worlds our imaginations live in tend to work, don’t you?
