The latest ‘RoboCop’ trailer is out and wow does it look amazing! I’ve been on the fence about the latest RoboCop since it was announced. Another franchise reboot? A new suit? How could this be going anywhere good? Of course that was before they announced the cast which is what first caught my attention. Following that was a picture of the new suit which felt to me like the Batman armor from the most recent Nolan trilogy meets the new armor worn by everyone’s favorite judge in ‘Dredd‘.

I was strangely OK with that too. The first and second trailers both had their high points but this is the one that truly stands out for me.

I don’t know if it’s the music setting the mood, the amazingly high impact action we see as RoboCop is doing battle (against ED 209 to boot!), or the humanizing moments of what kind of a life he has now. Whatever it was they did in this trailer it sold me.

I want to see the film on release weekend. It officially has caught my attention and is dragging me in. I honestly believe that José Padilha has put together something amazing with the film if this current trailer is any indiciation of the feel of the whole film.
