If you knew that Stan Lee was going to headline DC’s upcoming ‘Batman vs. Superman’ would that motivate you to go see it? Stan Lee sure as hell thinks so!

Recently at the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, Lee interjected his opinion on how to make sure DC’s ‘Man of Steel’ sequel would be a success. Sure his remarks could be taken with a bit of ego, a bit of a jab at DC and with a grain of salt since he’s just pure entertainment, but really take a look at the exact quote:

“I’ll show you why DC isn’t so smart. If I were the head of DC, I would contact me and say, ‘How about doing a cameo in the next Superman movie?’ Can you imagine? Nobody would believe it. Everybody would go see it.”

If the sequel to ‘Man of Steel‘ starring Ben Affleck as Batman needs more motivation for people to go see it, clearly Stan Lee would be the answer.

While it’s no guarantee his cameos have been the direct result of the huge box office successes of the Marvel franchises, we may have some proof next year. If ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ flops we might have really take this idea seriously as Lee recently chose to attend a convention instead of making a cameo in that film.

Of course even with being 90, Stan is a super busy guy with ‘Chaktra: The Invincible‘, giving multiple interviews (like the one he sat down with ScienceFiction.com for) , and being the king of Marvel, the man doesn’t have a lot of time on his plate. If he’s offering to make time to do a cameo, it could be worth DC’s time to listen. There’s not a lot of actors out there who can list ‘The Avengers‘, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man‘, ‘Eureka’, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, ‘Thor‘, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, ‘Iron Man’ 1-3, ‘Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer’, ‘Spider-Man’ 1-3, and so many more on their resume! He’s clearly a force to be reckoned with when it comes to comic book movies.

If Stan Lee made an appearance would this help convince you to go see ‘Batman vs. Superman’? Let us know true believers!
