We’ve got a pretty bland teaser and a pretty awesome behind the scenes video for the ‘Marvel Universe Live‘. What exactly is ‘Marvel Universe Live’? About half a year ago we learned that Marvel was teaming up with Feld Entertainment to put together a live show to blow away all prior concepts of what a comic book themed live action show would be like.

There still isn’t a lot of details yet and the teaser is pretty sparse aside from the fact that the show will center around the Tesseract (loosely based off of the Cosmic Cube from the ongoing comic series.) Let’s take a look at that one first.

Tesseract. Check. Tour beginning in Summer 2014. Check. Teaser to go to MarvelUniverseLive.com that only re-shows the above teaser? Check. So there really wasn’t a lot of details here. Fortunately, though, there was a recent press release and a lot of details hinted at in the behind the scenes photo.

What we do know is that “Marvel Universe Live’ will combine Marvel super heroes with state-of-the-art special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial displays, martial arts and more! Also while this will be based off of the world of the cinematic Marvel Universe, it will in fact have the full set of Marvel characters to choose from and will hit 85 cities in North America before going on a global tour.

Now this behind the scenes photo has a slew of information hidden within. Here’s what can be found:

  • Something that looks to be a Skrull
  • Falcon
  • Captain America
  • Loki
  • Black Cat
  • Wolverine
  • Spider-Man
  • Black Widow
  • Hulk
  • Captain Marvel
  • A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent

Also in other areas we’ve also seen further hints of:

  • Hulk
  • A man with a bow and arrow I’m assuming will be Hawkeye
  • A HUGE Mjolnir hints at Thor

The video also reveals a ton of what looks to be ins and outs of the special effects behind a few features of the show. Seriously, the look of Thor’s hammer is kind of ridiculous, but in a good way. I think the main thing to take away is the fact that it’s by Feld Entertainment, Inc., the company responsible for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice and Disney Live shows. That means they are fully aware of how to put together a well done family friendly live show.

With the full Marvel Universe at their disposal to expand on the ideas put together from the first ‘The Avengers’ movie are you excited on this one? Planning on checking this out when it comes to a city near you? Sound off below!
