Just like the films that came before it, ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ will film across the pond in the United Kingdom. Director J.J. Abrams will have to step out of his comfort zone as he’s used to shooting in his own backyard of Los Angeles, but it’s all for the good of the next chapter of the beloved Lucasfilm franchise. And now, it looks like the call has gone out to the actors of the country for a new role in the movie.

As casting rumors swirl around the web featuring the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and Saoirse Ronan, the production is currently in the casting phase in order to populate the galaxy far, far away. While we previously saw a casting breakdown for the leads, it looks like another call has been uncovered indicating that we may see a familiar face in the upcoming film (or at least someone from that alien race).

Casting service Spotlight has recently put out the following casting call from “Walt Disney/Lucasfilm/Bad Robot” for something called “Untitled Studio Feature”:

Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too ‘thick set’ especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus.

It is interesting to note that Peter Mayhew, the man who brought Chewbacca the Wookie to life in the original trilogy and ‘Revenge of the Sith’, stands at 7’3″ and fits the body type described in the blurb. Speculation brings us to believe that Abrams is on the lookout for an inhabitant of Kashyyyk for his movie, but it’s entirely possible that he has something else in mind all together.

Do you think that we’ll be seeing the return of the Wookies in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’? If they are, do you think that Chewbacca will make an appearance as well? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comment section.
