Production on the ‘Transformers 4‘ movie has shifted slightly southward, from Detroit to Chicago and four additional amateur videos have surfaced as fans have captured the action onset.

The first video simply depicts a series of fireworks/explosions at McCormick Place.

The second video gives a better look into the plot of the film, including the first images of Kelsey Grammer as the movie’s antagonist Harold Attinger, a villainous intelligence agent.  Also depicted are signs reading “Remember Chicago,” a reference to the last ‘Transformers’ movie, ‘Dark of the Moon.’  There’s also a shot of a low-flying helicopter, which may be the Decepticon Blackout.

Grammer can be seen again in this slower clip, filmed in Millennium Park.

And finally, catch a glimpse of lead Autobot Optimus Prime in truck mode, zooming into action.

Considering that the title characters are almost all animated, it’s nice to at least catch a glimpse of one (possibly two) of the main characters, even if it is in vehicle form.  We’re not sure yet just how Grammer’s character will factor into the storyline.

The movie is being directed by Michael Bay, who also helmed all three prior films in the franchise, but with an almost entirely new cast, including Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li and T.J. Miller.  It will debut on June 27th of next year.
