You can’t walk into Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con without expecting some surprises and very few companies showing off their goods are creative as Marvel. While Marvel Studios really raised the bar by having Tom Hiddleston appear at their panel as Loki to introduce the clip from ‘Thor: The Dark World’, another Marvel hero elsewhere at the con tried his best to bring something special to his presentation.

During the panel for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, Sony brought in the real Spider-Man to appear in Hall H. Of course, what this meant was that Andrew Garfield showed up and participated in character and in full costume for a brief period of time before reemerging as himself after a clip from the film was shown. But during his time on stage in the suit, the actor was just being hilarious and entertaining, especially when he was fanboying over Jamie Foxx. To see the whole panel, including the introduction with Spider-Man in the flesh, check out the video below:

What did you think about Spider-Man showing up at his panel to promote his upcoming film? Do you think that he made more of an impression on the crowd in Hall H than Loki of Asgard? Let us know in the comments.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, and Sally Field is set to hit theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
