While I can’t say all of these images will be new as some were previously seen in the first official shot of Electro, they are all now in high res AND free of unnecessary text! Perfect for mobile and computer backgrounds!
May 2nd 2014 seems like such a long time to wait for the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man to be released and each of these teaser shots isn’t helping to get here any quicker.
In these shots we obviously have Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Gwen Stacy(Emma Stone), one of the first shots of Harry Osborne(Dane DeHaan), and Rhino (Paul Giamatti). Honestly it’s not surprising that we’re getting more hi resolution shots of the characters with how pumped the comic-con trailer has gotten fans for the movie. The only real surprise is we’re only getting 9!
While all of the shots are great, I really have only two that I feel I need to comment on. First is the second shot of Electro. All I can think when I see that circuit coming out of his head is that he should be called Electro of Borg. While the effects look absolutely amazing, the chip on the side of his head? I’m not a huge fan of the look. That isn’t too important though as the trailer has me pumped for the character for the first time. Seriously though it isn’t really fitting but it’s what’s there. Secondly, I LOVE the shot of Parker’s messy room. While his posed shots in this gallery ‘feel’ right for Spider-Man that single room shot just seems how I imagine a young Peter Parker would be living. Messy, geeky, teenage – it’s the feeling I felt was missing from Peter in the first film and is embodied completely in this single shot.
