Ever since the first trailer for ‘The Wolverine’ was released nearly four months ago, we’ve seen a lot of new footage roll out in the form of more trailers, TV spots, behind the scenes clips, and featurettes. Now, we have two of the latest looks at Logan’s upcoming adventure in Japan slated to hit theaters later this month.
The first of the two videos we have for you today only has milliseconds of new footage considering that it’s so short, but it has new footage nonetheless. Here’s the latest TV spot for the film, which focuses on Wolverine’s vulnerability:
In the second video, Digital Spy gives us an exclusive featurette titled ‘A Ronin’s Story’. In Japanese history, a ronin is a samurai with no master or mission, so this video gives us a look into the “ultimate outsider” of the Marvel Universe as he embarks on a journey in Japan that brings his past very much into his future. You can check out the video featuring interviews with the cast and crew below:
As each day passes, we get closer and closer to seeing the next ‘X-Men’ film and follow-up to Gavin Hood’s atrocious ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. Based on what we’ve seen so far, do you think that director James Mangold will make up for that mess? Will it continue the streak of excellent (but not entirely accurate) X-films started by Matthew Vaughn’s ‘X-Men: First Class’? Let us know what you think in the comments.
‘The Wolverine’ starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee will be in theaters on July 26, 2013.
