With ‘Man of Steel’ flying into theaters next week, the cast is doing their rounds to promote the upcoming DC Comics adaptation from director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan. And as they tend to do, the cast members making the appearance will bring some new footage with them, so naturally that was the case when Amy Adams dropped by ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Before telling the late night host about her three-year old daughter’s crush on Henry Cavill as Superman and her own crush on Christopher Reeves as Superman, the audience was treated to an extended version of a scene that we’ve seen a little bit of already. In the trailers and TV spots, there’s a moment where Adams’ Lois Lane is in the interrogation room with the Last Son of Krypton and she asks about the symbol on his chest. For her talk show appearance, she unveiled a slightly extended version of that scene. To see a little bit more of that cutesy moment between the two characters, as well as the actress’ connection to Superman prior to the film, check out the video below, courtesy of Bleeding Cool:

While it doesn’t show us too much new footage, it certainly spotlights the chemistry between the two co-stars. It’ll be interesting to see the full scope of their connectivity once the film is finally shown in it’s entirety.

In addition to the extended scene courtesy of the lovely Miss Adams, there has been a number of new promotional items released this week showing us new pieces of the upcoming Superman film. Besides the epic final trailer for the movie, two more clips hit the web showing our hero battling General Zod and his forces. Also, a new TV spot was unveiled featuring a brand new moment between Clark and Lois that’s already warranted gifs and fan adoration. You can check out these new videos below courtesy of Flickering Myth:

What do you think of these new clips for the next Superman movie? Do you think it will live up to all the hype that it’s garnering prior to it’s release? Will it succeed where previous attempts at adapting the character have failed? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
