Most people who see a flashing red light would turn the other direction, but not Clara, the Doctor’s new companion. In a new clip from the upcoming episode ‘Journey to the Center of the TARDIS’, Clara’s curiosity has gotten the better of her and while that may bode well for the Doctor from time to time, it doesn’t in this case, for his companion.
When Clara sees a flashing red light, she surmises that it means something bad. “Get out of here, fast?” she wonders. “Or possibly whatever you do, don’t open this door.” What’s a girl to do? Take a look below!
Synopsis:
A spaceship salvage team drags the TARDIS on board, sending its systems into meltdown. As the Doctor marshals the motley salvage crew outside, he realizes Clara is still trapped within his malfunctioning ship, pursued by a dangerous group of ossified monsters. He has just 30 minutes to find Clara and save his TARDIS before it self-destructs.
While we’ve been privy of other areas in the TARDIS (the last was the infinite amount of corridors in the Neil Gaiman episode ‘The Doctor’s Wife’), ‘Journey’ promises that we’ll become more familiar with “Sexy”. And make sure you watch carefully as not only will there be the usual nods to classic ‘Doctor Who’ episodes, we’ll get to hear the Ninth Doctor’s voice once again. Can you believe it’s already been 7 years since we’ve heard his Northern accent?
‘Journey to the Center of the TARDIS’ airs Saturday, April 27th, at 8pm on BBC America.
