The box office war is about to begin with the release of big tentpole films like ‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Oblivion’, ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘After Earth’. But the big guns have to go to ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’, the much highly anticipated film from J.J. Abrams. Paramount is certainly banking on this anticipation and has released this incredible new movie poster for the film for fans to awe over.

While the studio has already released a motion poster for the film, this newest poster takes the latest international one sheet of John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) and turns in into a moving mosaic with images from the trailers! This new-fangled poster has been dubbed as a “cinemosaic” design.

The cinemosaic poster looks like mini gifs put together to make one big poster and it is incredible! Considering it wasn’t too long ago that motion posters were the new thing, I’m looking forward to seeing what new marketing idea will pop up by the time ‘The Avengers 2’ is about to be released next year.

In the meantime, have a look at this stunning new  poster for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ below and let us know what you think of it.
