Tom Cruise’s return to sci-fi is less than 2 weeks away and Universal is making sure movie goers know about ‘Oblivion’ by releasing something about the film in what seems to be almost every day. This time around we have another clip and featurette to share with you.

The clip is a scene that comes right after Jack (Tom Cruise) rescues Julia (Olga Kurylenko) from the crashed spaceship. She’s taken to Skytower where she is informed of her whereabouts and condition by Victoria (Andrea Riseborough). Julia is distressed to find out what is happening and already knows that Victoria is not to be trusted:

The featurette continues on the one that was released a few days ago with the filming that occurred in Iceland, this time at Earl’s Peak. The scene being filmed is Cruise sitting at the edge of a mountain overlooking the Earth. An image of this was used in a one sheet for the film which you’ll recognize once you see it in the video below:

‘Oblivion’ joins ‘Pacific Rim’ and ‘Elysium’ as one of the few sci-fi films that isn’t a sequel, remake, reboot, or based on a fairy tale or YA novel that is coming out this year. That alone already gives the film a plus as to why it should be seen. So far the trailers, featurettes and TV spots haven’t been too disappointing and the film looks to be an interesting one to see.

We’ll be reviewing the film here on ScienceFiction.com but until then, are you planning on seeing ‘Oblivion’?
