For the last past few days, the movie associated with director J.J. Abrams is one that occurs in a galaxy far, far away, but now it’s time to bring the focus back on the film that brings the final frontier into theaters in just a few months. Yes, I’m talking about ‘Star Trek into Darkness’, and in this newest featurette, Abrams talks about the film saying his goal was to “up the ante” this time around.

The featurette focuses on Abrams’ thoughts of the film while also giving us some great new footage not seen in the trailers. There are also quick sound bites of Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana describing the movie. With words like “relentless,” “stunning” and “another level of excitement” tossed around, how can you not get thrilled by the fact the ‘Star Trek into Darkness’ will drop in theaters in a few more months?!

From the looks of the featurette, Abrams did “up the ante” as he wanted. Check it out below and tell us what you think!

‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ opens May 17.
