Sega of America has released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’. Check out the new “Kick-Ass” trailer below:

The trailer is a more humorous than any we’ve seen so far, but don’t expect the game to take the same tone. Developed by Gearbox Software, the same team behind the ‘Borderlands’ series, ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’ puts players into the shoes of a United States Colonial Marine as his squad is sent on a mission to find Ellen Ripley on the U.S.S. Sulaco. Fans of the film series will recognize familiar locations throughout the game, such as LV-426, and players will have access to much of the iconic technology featured in the movies, like the flamethrower and motion trackers.

Gearbox has focused on making the game truly feel like the films, creating “last stand” moments and “gauntlet runs,” where players must travel from point-A to point-B while fending off Xenomorphs. There will be plenty of high-tension moments in narrow corridors, and all of the well-known aliens will be making an appearance. The story is being described as the “true sequel” to James Cameron’s Aliens, and is even considered by 20th Century Fox to be part of the series’ official canon.

‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’ will be released on February 12 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
