Earlier this week, it was revealed that the upcoming season of ‘Game of Thrones’ would feature extended episodes. Though a few minutes here and there may not seem like a whole lot, it really adds up. With all this extra work going into the season based on the book ‘A Storm of Swords’, one might wonder how things behind the scenes are changing.

In a new featurette from the set of the hit HBO series, you can take a look at how the crew approached the art direction and sets for the new seasons. Not only do we learn a bit about the new locations we’ll be seeing like the Red Keep in King’s Landing, but we also get a glimpse of a new character, Jojen Reed, played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, as well as a few familiar faces as well. Check out the video below:

Elsewhere in GoT news, we’ve also received word of a new beverage coming straight from Westeros to your own home just in time for your season premiere watch party. According to the New York Times, to coincide with the premiere of episode one of season three on March 31st, HBO is teaming with Brewery Ommegang to create a line of ‘Game of Thrones’-inspired beers. The first one is called Iron Throne Blonde Ale and it comes to you in a 25-ounce bottle with a cork so as to get the whole experience of feasting like Robert Baratheon. The three other planned brews will be released with the seasons.

Iron Throne Blonde Ale

Phil Leinhart, a brewmaster at Ommegang, shares with Entertainment Weekly the following about the first beer in the new line:

“It made us approach development in a completely new way and I think the first edition Iron Throne reveals that. With a Lannister currently on the throne, it made sense to do a delicate, but piercing Golden Blonde Ale with Noble hops. Iron Throne is certainly fair in color and soft in appearance, yet it still possesses a complexity and bite to be on guard for.”

Whether you’re drinking to the honor or to the demise of that brat Joffrey, you can pick up Iron Throne for $8.50 per bottle at your local beer distributor in March.
