This December movie goers will once again be transported to the world of Middle Earth when Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ is released. Will he be able to rekindle the same fascination with J.R.R. Tolkien’s world like he did with ‘Lord of the Rings?’

We’ll soon find out but if these images are anything to go buy, ‘The Hobbit’ will look just as majestic! Below are 4 new movie stills that give a better look at the trolls and goblins briefly seen in the TV spots as well as a long shot of the White Council.

And that’s not all! Thanks to CBM, we also have 150 impressive behind the scenes photos all placed into one neat handy gallery to give fans more of what to expect when they see the movie.  A few of these images have been seen before, but the majority is new. Overall, the photos are very remarkable and wonderful to look at and give an extensive look at how every detail of the film has been painstakingly attended to.

Check out the images below and let us know what you think in the comments.

‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,’ which stars Martin Freeman, Sir Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, and Andy Serkis, hits theaters in 2D, 3D, IMAX and HFR 3D on December 14th.
